Jacquie rebelled against Chopin and Beethoven and opted instead for Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and Motown. She spent her high school years performing around Montgomery County, home to countless country clubs and nursing homes, but also a rare gem in Bethesda known as the Strathmore Hall Arts Center.

Not yet willing to take the leap of faith, she silenced her better judgment and sought careers as a university writer-in-residence and as a publicist for various trade and academic presses. But the music that she was supposed to rein in as a hobby simply refused to be domesticated, and her "professional" work suffered. The overwhelming response to her first demo titled Not About You convinced Jacquie to focus entirely on her music. Fans, friends and certain HR reps, alike, were pleased.

Now she lives in the metro NY area and would be completely flattered if you would join her mailing list. You could even feed her for a few days simply by purchasing one of her CDs. Jacquie is quite honest about the fact that 100% of the proceeds from her albums go to overhead.
